Installation Guide: Double Offset Pole Bands (CW-DP Series)

Safety Warning:

Always de-energize and ground power lines before performing any work on utility poles. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Tools Required:

• Socket wrench or spanner (compatible with square nuts)

• Measuring tape

• Torque wrench (recommended)

Step-by-Step Installation:

1. Select Correct Size:

   Measure the circumference or diameter of the utility pole. Refer to the technical data table to select the correct model (e.g., CW-DP0809 fits poles between 203mm and 228mm).

2. Position the Band:

   Place the two stamped brackets around the pole at the designated height. Ensure the "offset" or mounting holes are oriented correctly according to your application (e.g., facing the direction of the guy wire or rack).

3. Insert Hardware:

   Insert the four square head bolts through the pre-punched holes in the brackets. Thread the square nuts onto the bolts by hand to prevent cross-threading.

4. Tighten Securely:

   Using a wrench, alternately tighten the bolts diagonally (like tightening lug nuts on a car wheel). This ensures even pressure distribution around the pole.

   Recommended Torque: Apply sufficient torque until the brackets form a snug fit against the pole surface without deforming the metal.

5. Mount Accessories:

   Once the band is secure, attach the secondary rack, insulator, or guy wire clamp to the pre-drilled holes on the offset bracket.
