The CW-MDSC (Multi-drop Span Clamp)​ is a heavy-duty, versatile hardware solution engineered for FTTx and telecommunications deployments. It is specifically designed to securely terminate multiple drop cables at a single strand location on a pole or strand wire. This clamp offers dual functionality, allowing technicians to either directly lash the drop cable sheath or suspend drop wire clamps (such as Fish Tapes or Figure-8 clamps) via its robust bail. Its design prioritizes both mechanical reliability and field efficiency, featuring a high-strength steel construction and an integrated bolt retention system to prevent hardware loss during installation.

Installation Notes

1. Select the appropriate location on the strand where multiple drops will converge.

2. Loosen the hex nut on the CW-MDSC clamp.

3. Position the clamp jaws around the strand and thread the bolt through.

4. Securely tighten the hex nut to compress the jaws onto the strand until snug. Do not over-torque.

5. Attach the drop wire clamps by hooking their bails into the opening of the CW-MDSC, or wrap the drop cable's support wire directly around the clamp body as required by the network design.
